Why Learn with Jennifer?
Learning biology shouldn't feel overwhelming. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence in their abilities.
As a former Assistant Professor with over four years of university teaching experience and a final-year PhD researcher, I have taught students with diverse academic backgrounds and learning styles. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to match your individual needs, pace, and goals. Whether you're preparing for an important examination, tackling a challenging university course, or developing research skills, I'll work with you to build a strong conceptual foundation and improve your confidence.
My teaching combines clear explanations, interactive discussions, visual learning, and practical examples drawn from current scientific research. Rather than focusing on memorization, I help students understand the underlying biological principles so they can apply their knowledge to solve problems independently.
I strive to make every lesson well-organized, encouraging, and enjoyable. Hello! I'm Jennifer, a former Assistant Professor with over four years of university teaching experience and currently a final-year PhD researcher in Chemical Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. My academic background includes Bioinformatics, Immunology & Microbiology, and my research focuses on microbiology, biotechnology, environmental science, and sustainable agriculture. I have published several peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters, allowing me to bring current scientific knowledge into every lesson.
I believe that the best way to learn science is by understanding concepts rather than memorizing facts. My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored to each student's individual goals, whether you need help preparing for exams, improving grades, understanding laboratory concepts, or developing research skills.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged for university students or research mentoring. During our classes, I use diagrams, illustrations, real-world examples, scientific papers, and problem-solving exercises to make complex biological concepts easier to understand. I encourage questions throughout the lesson and adapt my teaching pace to suit each student's learning style.
I teach students at various levels, including:
Secondary and high school Biology
A-Level, IB, AP, and equivalent Biology
Undergraduate courses in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Immunology, Molecular Biology, and Environmental Science
Master's students requiring support with research methodology, scientific writing, literature reviews, experimental design, and thesis preparation
