O nauczycielu Gular
I grew up in a capital city of Azerbaijan called Baku. In 2021 I graduated from the University of Languages with a Bachelor’s degree in Philology (English Language and Literature). After graduating, I began teaching English in a language school and at the same time I passed my IELTS certification exam. I moved to Poland a year ago to get my master degree at UAM in the faculty of Applied Linguistics. I am currently teaching in Poznan. I love Poland, especially the obliging and down-to-earth people, and the beautiful warm summers. I feel blessed to live and work here.
I teach because I am a people person. Above all, I love to spend my time socializing - meeting people, and hearing their stories and points of view. My hobbies include reading, cooking, and drawing. I have a huge range of interests, including music, technology, film, etc.

What to Expect from Classes with Me
Lessons are planned individually for each person, but examples of classes I offer are:
• Conversation practice – Here, we use the lesson to discuss topics that are useful and relevant to you, as well as appropriate to your level. You can pick the topics, or I can pick them for you. It will be my job to encourage you to speak as much as possible. As we talk, I will introduce new vocabulary and correct your mistakes. Homework (optional) will be reading/listening/watching/writing tasks relating to whatever topics we are focusing on, as well as grammar tasks that target some of the mistakes I have seen you make in the lesson.
• General English – Here, we cover all areas of the English language: listening, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. We will follow a structured course that is appropriate to your level, and supplement this with tasks and materials that I pick especially for you.
• Preparation for Cambridge FCE/CAE/ Pre- IELTS / IELTS/TOEFL / TOEIC certificates – Here we will work with special materials which consist of questions and exercises that are like what you will come across in the exam. We will focus on optimizing your performance in these specific tasks, while simultaneously expanding your knowledge of the English language in a general sense.
• CAE Group - These groups will have a special focus on grammar and "Use of English", as well as exam-specific speaking skills. We will methodically work through and demystify the tricky grammatical forms that frequently come up in the exam, while doing copious amounts of exam-style practice questions. Additionally, I will organize speaking groups where you can independently meet to practice exam-style speaking, with materials and tasks provided by me, as well as feedback and debriefs in lessons. Groups will be 2-4 people.
• Speaking Bootcamp – For students who have little confidence speaking but are not beginners in general (Levels A2 and above). We will do structured speaking games and exercises that will build the student’s confidence. This is an excellent way to supplement a child or teenager’s English lessons at school.
• Essay Writing – Here the student writes essays for me on a regular basis, I then mark them and give feedback in the lesson. We then discuss and work on strategies for improvement. I have lots of experience writing academic essays and also write as a hobby, so I have a huge amount to offer students in this area.
Students are free to choose from all of the above and can mix things up as they wish.I will also give advice on what I think is best for a given student.
