Hello and 你好! I am an English tutor from Los Angeles, California. I have experience and passion for ballet, swimming, tennis, playing classical music, cooking, reading, and art. My favourite subject at school was history, and I love to explore different historical interpretations of periods of economic growth, war, and political conflict. I received an International Baccalaureate diploma in Switzerland, practise Mandarin and English fluently, and have started learning French, German, and Polish recreationally.

I work primarily with primary school through final-year high school students, but I also teach adults looking to improve their English for recreational, academic, or business purposes. As an IB Diploma graduate, one of the world’s most respected academic qualifications, I am well equipped to guide school-aged students through successful essay writing. I focus on both clear structure and sophisticated, professional language. Whether the task is literary analysis or rhetorical commentary, students are taught proper academic formats—not to memorise templates, but to fully understand and apply these skills throughout their education and into university.
