My Teaching Purpose
When I entered my university on foreign language department, as I always had a big love for foreign languages, English specifically, I always dreamt that one day I will become an interpreter or a translator but NEVER an English teacher. I was so afraid of kids, how to handle them and how to survive around them, that when it was time for the first teaching practice at school, no matter how many lesson plans I wrote and how many micro lessons I performed in front of my peers, I was totally not ready. The fear to face the children and take care of them, I mean at that point I was not quite sure whether I am capable of taking care of myself, was terrifying. But, after my first lesson, that was not quite successful by the way, I started to change my perspective. Moreover, by the end of the practice I was asking around in that school do they have any job offer for me! That was a drastic change, I learned to love something I was very much afraid of. It's already been nine years since my first lesson, I am an experienced English teacher with a lot of students that passed the national exam in English successfully and managed to get a scholarship thanks to their high grades, or those students that planned moving to other countries, and now they say me thanks for my teaching from their new homes from all around the globe. All of this motivates me to work and be positive and I fall in love with my profession more and more.
As for my specific goals while teaching, I have short-term and long-term ones. As for short-term goals I try to involve my students in learning each specific topic we have in syllabus, make them like it and be interested in, so their motivation grows as well as their grades, and then I can slowly move to my long-term goal which is to make them become fluent English speakers.

My Teaching Techniques
During both my lesson planning and teaching I use different techniques such as scaffolding, so I pay a lot of attention to model and guided practice segments of the lesson, and check their understanding, also I try to use warm language and teacher talk, so their affective filter lowers and they are ready to comprehend and participate properly.
Moreover, I use the 80% practice and 20% instruction rule, so I let my students talk more and don't steal the initiative out of them.
As for the motivation, I try to motivate my students making my lessons existing, using the group and pair work and letting them compete with each other.
As for the activities, I use a wide range of them but I have both mine and my students' favourite warm up activity on vocabulary that helps my students to learn the new words and phrases and not to forget the previous ones, so we do it no matter what kind of objectives I have, because it activates learners' desire to study very much.
And last but not the least, the assessment. Depending on the objectives I assess my students in different ways, but most of the times it's a quiz, or an essay, or a speech, or something more creative as a video presentation .
